New fabric

Well, I haven’t posted for a while! I have been spending way too much time in the kitchen which I love except that it keeps me from my non-edible artwork. But now it is sunny and I’m happy to be creating more in the studio.

We have had down right hot days here in San Diego so here is a bit of comfort in a fabric piece (a whole cloth) I created in honor of winter…

Cocoa Rings and Marshmallows
Cocoa Rings and Marshmallows

By Ann Scott

I started sewing and designing using fabric, thread, and paper when I was a child. I taught myself to make quilts, at first not following the "rules," then watched some experts, learned the rules, and made many hand quilted and appliqued quilts. I spent years focusing on miniature landscape quilts. Now I am a fiber and mixed media artist and that encompasses everything I have a passion for. I have taught, lectured, and my work have show nationally and internationally, some pieces have been published.

  1. oooohhhh that looks great. Think I’ll run in to the kitchen and put the kettle on for some hot chocolate and marshmallows! It’s still a bit chilly here….12 degrees currently and our high for today. Beautiful work!

  2. Thanks Kelly.
You are definitely in hot cocoa weather. Drink a cup for me please, sadly I’m supposed to stay away from caffeine.
It is about 77 degrees here today. I put two frames of hand painted fabric outside to dry and it took all of about ten minutes!
