This pretty House Cat is a one-of a kind, whimsical art quilt that would be a fun conversation piece for any cat and animal loving person or family.

The cat is a raw edge patchwork, made of hand painted 100% cotton fabric and has been heavily free-motion quilted. The face has hand embroidered eyes with real cat eyebrows and whiskers. The chartreuse colored mat under the cat is also hand painted fabric and has a bit of a grunge, weathered look. The cat and mat are bordered by black commercial fabric with (soft grayish-white) paw prints that have been quilted around.

The House Cat is joined by a tiny needle felted mouse that appears to weigh the quilt down. They all hang from tabs on a dowel; the left end of the dowel has hand sculpted and painted paper clay catnip like leaves. Hanging from the right end of the dowel is what looks like a feather kitty toy. The “kitty toy” is made from yarn, cord, reclaimed jewelry, and (synthetic & wool) faux feathers.

The piece measures approximately 16 inches wide by 17 ¼ inches tall. It is labeled and signed on the back.
