Value Study Scape is an art quilt; a “painting” made of 100% cotton fabrics. If you are looking for a work of art with depth that evokes calm, this is the piece for you. It is a companion piece to Near the Lake; a colorful art quilt made using my same original pattern (also available in my shop, if not already sold).

I have a passion for miniature fabric landscape art quilts, and for years I taught classes on how to make them. I began Value Study Scape by carefully selecting each fabric, cutting each piece out and layering them together into a miniature landscape. Next I sandwiched (layered) the quilt top with batting and then with backing fabric. The piece is hand appliqued and hand quilted.

Value Study Scape is approximately 29” x 21”. It has a hanging sleeve and slat. Two finishing nails are included and may be used for hanging. The piece also has a signed label on the back. Link to my short video - How to hang an art quilt.

I recommend the piece be displayed away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
